About meBorn in Cologne and raised in Berlin, I was always passionate about exploring systems, patterns and stories. Naturally that lead me to games! As someone very interested in politics, I even did my final high school presentations on video games as a cultural good and its representation in the german media at the time (~2010).
To understand archetypes and thought patterns, I set out to study philosophy, computer science and German in Göttingen. I quickly turned away from the academic and towards acting and writing for theater, discovering what I truly want to do: Create. Following that epiphany I traveled to Japan. I lived, worked and explored there for a year - and between snow shoveling, DJing and teaching English I figured out that once you make up your mind about doing something? You can just do it. So now I am studying Game Design at the UE Berlin: Making games, learning software and having fun with team projects! Pouring my passion into each and every project I set my eyes on, I have designed games, and made sounds, interviewed and moderated for the A.MAZE-festival, and created generative art through code. MotivationI do what I do because I am passionate.
Passionate about encouraging people to reflection; tickling their thinking bones. Passionate about abstract connections between two seemingly different concepts. And passionate about making others feel the emotions that are important to me: · The joy of experimenting with a new toy that has a barely comprehensible manual · The revelation that in the slow change of repeating imagery something meaningful is conveyed. · The tingling sensation of simultaneously not understanding what exactly is going on, while not being able to pull away. And for that I play with repeating visual and narrative patterns, make games that mystify and intrigue, and build digital spaces to experiment within. |
